CANDDIS - Anti-Social Behaviour Information System

Anti-social behaviour is defined as activity, which is not wanted by all or most people living in an area. It can be criminal or it may be nuisance by causing fear, distress or alarm.

Examples of anti-social behaviour:

Vandalism or graffiti.
Racial harassment.
Riding mopeds/motorbikes continually late at night or on public open space.
Violence or threats of violence to people or property.

Anyone convicted of a breach of the terms of an Anti-Social Behaviour Order (ASBO) can be sentenced to a term of imprisonment of up to five years, or a fine, or both. Obtaining an ASBO is a positive example of the Council, the police and the community working together to address anti-social behaviour.

The process for obtaining ASBO's can be long and complicated. There are obvious benefits to having an effective information system for carefully managing the co-ordinators caseload. The system provides many predefined reports making data analysis, client tracking and auditing process incredible simple.

Features Benefits
Geo-coded addresses
Geo-Coded addresses allow geographic analysis.
Geo-Coded addresses allows for data to be aggregated, resulting in de-personalise information and reducing the need to be concerned with data protection issues, when sharing data with partner agencies.
Geo-graphic Information System support
Geographic analysis provides regional decision makers and greater understanding of ASB in their area.
GIS gives a higher level and data understanding than standard statistical reports.
Data can be exported to your preferred choice of GIS.
Multi-user access (regional)
Multi-user access allows data sharing between divisions and provides better support and tracking of offender movement across political boundaries.
Powerful reporting and statistical tools
Powerful reporting and statistical analysis provide the user with the ability to respond more quickly to senior manager's data demands and more efficiently service the data needs of external partner agencies.
Reporting tools allow the decision maker to have statistical evidence, backing up their intervention policies.
Greater data security and backup policies
Secure data with user login.
Access to the system will be tightly regulated by a central administered database.
Different levels of user responsibility are possible (Read Only Users, Write Only Users, Report Users, GIS Users, etc).
Data is maintained centrally and data backup policies guarantees data integrity, and eliminates the risks of catastrophic data loss.
